handmade jewellery and new age art from Cardiff - by Gwen Davies

Terms and Conditions

Each and every customer of mine, no matter how big or how small, is equally precious and special, so if you have any problems regarding something you have bought from me, please get in touch and I will do everything possible to resolve the difficulty.

However, do be aware that many of the items on this website, particularly the cards, are handmade or have handmade elements, and therefore you should expect some slight variation in terms of colour, size and finish.

I have taken every care to ensure that the photographs on the website are as accurate as possible, but colours can change depending on the quality of the ambient light and the reproduction of colour on a computer can depend on factors beyond my control such as the age and quality of the monitor used to view the image, so if you wish to buy something like a painting, I do recommend that you arrange an appointment to view the artwork in person.

If you are really very unhappy, or if something is found to be faulty I can refund anything you buy from me as long as the item is returned, well packaged and within 28 days. I regret that I can't refund any postal charges you incur as a result of this, so please buy with confidence.

For reasons of health and safety I cannot accept returns of earrings.

Privacy Policy

All payments made through the web site are processed by PayPal. You can read their privacy policy here, but if you use them to make a payment via their secure servers it means that only they will have access to your credit card details. I won't see them (and don't want the hassle of securely storing them anyway) and neither would anybody clever enough to be snooping about my website without my knowledge. This limits the risk of fraud. PayPal is free to use and you don't have to have an account with them to pay me.

If you choose to pay by cheque we will keep any personal details other than your name, address and e-mail only for as long as it takes us to process the payment.

Postage and Packing Charges

At the moment I operate a one-size-fits-all policy on postage and packing charges. Every £ 10 you spend = £ 1 postage and packing charge. This actually works out beneficially for the customer in most cases, particularly when ordering large amounts of cards or jewellery and particularly for those based abroad.

Items will be sent to you securely packaged and by First Class Post or Airmail, which is insured for up to £ 32. Items that cost more than that are sent at your own risk. In this case you will recieve an e-mail offering you the option of Next Day Special Delivery or delivery by ParcelForce 48hr / ParcelForce Worldwide. This provides the added assurance of tracking, signed-for delivery and insurance of up to £ 500. This will cost extra, but will give you the added assurance that we will be able to refund your money without hassle if something gets lost or damaged in the post.

We are a small business and while this enables us to provide a more personal service than many other internet based traders we do ask people to understand that we do not have the resources of our larger competitors. On the other hand, we can tailor our service to suit you - if you have any special postage and packing requirements please let me know.
